3K ::

And this is an FM066SL in Matte UD ::

From that distance, you can't really even tell. Can you? However, while you're riding it and the light is hitting the frame, it will be noticeable. Therefore, it's going to come down to your personal preference.

For what it's worth - I'm planning on going with Matte UD, for frame, fork, and wheels.

Also, I think some people will try to tell you there is a strength in this one or that one. I call BS on that theory. It's just the cosmetic layer anyway.

**both bikes pictured are members of this forum. I hope I'm not using them without permission. I can't remember whose they are at this point**

Underneath it's all the same, it's just the cosmetic finish that is different.

I prefer the UD with some color on it.

On some distance you hardly can see if its 3K or UD

And then the following:
If you want something different afterwards, 3K you can spraypaint any color as well matt black.

UD you can't change in 3K look

An UD frame with some separate 3K components is not so
A 3K frame with some UD components is nice

this is UD finish, but painted in black gloss from Dengfu (not clear gloss as it comes as standard) I could not decide and I did not know at the time the differences so to play safe I pay the extra 40 $ and had it painted, probably adding few grams to the weight. The paint job was good, just few smudges under the rear derailleur holder.

Direct Carbon Frames from China

You are here because you love to ride, love a great deal and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty.  This site is here for the same reason.  We built our own bikes from carbon fiber frames purchased from mainland Chinese manufacturers.  We read many forums, listened to sound advice, rolled our sleeves up and got to work.  The result is a lot of fun and we continue to build more bikes.  This site is the same. IT DEPENDS ON YOU.  What categories would you like to see?  What other content?  You speak we listen and then get to work making this the one stop for everything necessary to build your own bike from the frame up.  Let's have some fun.
